Connect to Jira
Sign in once and your backlog syncs automatically into every session.

Sign in with Atlassian
Click Sign in in the top-right corner, then choose Sign in with Atlassian (Jira).

Authorize the app
Atlassian will ask you to grant read/write access to your Jira boards. Click Accept — this lets Planning Poker fetch your backlog and save estimates.

Save a board
Back on the home page, click + New board. Paste the URL of your Jira board (e.g.
…/boards/123) and give it a name.4
Start a session & invite your team
Click Use on your saved board. Share the 6-character code or link — only you (the host) need to be signed in. Everyone else joins with just their name, no account required.

Sync your backlog & save estimates
Click Sync Jira to load unestimated stories in backlog priority order — already-pointed tickets are automatically excluded. Use the type filter (Epic, Story, Task, etc.) to focus on a specific issue type. Use the timer (30s / 60s / 90s) to auto-reveal votes when time's up. Toggle Anonymous reveal in the Team panel before revealing to show vote values without names. After consensus, click Save & Next to approve — only then does the estimate write back to Jira. Use Export CSV to download all estimates at the end.

Connect to Azure DevOps
Sign in with your Microsoft account and sync your ADO work items directly.

Sign in with Azure DevOps
Click Sign in in the top-right corner, then choose Sign in with Azure DevOps.

Authorize via Microsoft
Sign in with your Microsoft / Azure account. Grant the requested permissions so Planning Poker can read work items and save story points.

Save a board
Click + New board on the home page. Select Azure DevOps, enter your org URL, then pick your project from the dropdown.

Start a session & invite your team
Click Use on your saved board. Share the 6-character code or link — only you (the host) need to be signed in. Teammates join from any browser with just their name, no Microsoft account needed.

Sync work items & save estimates
Click Sync ADO to pull in your active backlog. After the team votes and you reach consensus, click Save & Next to approve — only approved estimates are written back to Azure DevOps.

Create a session
On the home page, fill in a Session name and Your name, then click Create Session. No sign-in required.

Share the session code
You'll see a 6-character code (e.g.
AB3X7K). Share it with your team — they enter it on the home page under Join a Session.3
Add your tickets
Use the + Add box in the backlog panel to type in ticket names or descriptions one at a time.

Run the vote
Click a ticket to start voting. Everyone picks a card — when everyone has voted, click Reveal to show all estimates at once.

Save the estimate
After the reveal, pick the agreed estimate and click Save & Next. The story is marked done and the next one is ready.
